Shaved Sideburns, Growing Thick And Coarse. Help
Hi I m a female, 27yrs old. Had some IPL sessions a few years ago on my facial hair but stopped after 4 sessions because didn t notice any results and was too painful. Anyway during that time, the therapist suggested to remove my sideburns with IPL so I agreed. I d always had a bit more hair than my friends (I m asian with dark hair). My sideburns were dark and prominent but the hair texture was fine and soft (like baby hair i guess). Anyway, she shaved them completely and now I m stuck with the stupid mess! They just look awful, now they grow thick and coarse like the hair on my head and I have to shave them daily! Even when i do shave them you can notice the dark hair follicles on my skin (like when a fair man with dark hair has shaved his beard). I can never wear my hair up again, it s totally awful i m always hiding the sides of my face now. Please please help me!

I can understand your concern.
This kind of dark facial hair is seen in cases of hormonal imbalance where there us an increase in the male hormones in a female body.
Hence I would recommend that you get yourself tested for any increase in the male hormonal levels.
If there is an imbalance it needs to be treated first and only then should you start doing laser hair reduction with nd yag laser.
Also you can apply eflornithine cream twice a day. That also will be helpful in addition to the laser in reduction of hair growth.
