Such symptoms are very characteristic for urinary tract
stones which are moving downward the ureter. It begins suddenly, the pain radiates from the one side back to the lower abdomen and groin. It can be associated with nausea, vomiting, pain during urinating, frequent urinating, blood in urine. It is advisable to go to ER and have muscles relaxants ordered. Abdominal ultrasound
, urine tests and blood work is advisable. In some cases urine blockage can result with renal failure
and leads to its damage.
Such symptoms can be also caused by gall stones
and acute pancreatitis
. That is why also liver tests and pancreas tests should be performed.
