Sharp Pain In Lower Back Of Head Before And During Orgasm. Is It Coital Cephalalgia?
Heelo? I m sorry I mean Hello im in alot of pain right now and trying to fiqure out what to do about it? I was looking it up and it seemed the symptoms were very familiar with Coital cephalalgia . I m not sure what the best thing to do about it though. All i Know is Before and during and orgasim i get a very sharp pain in the lower back of by head. My is sore and i was hoping you would be able to help

Coital cephalgia or Sexual Headache is a rare condition which is seen in some individuals in their young years. It is a sharp headache and pain behind eyes during sexual activity and just before exertion. Increased pressure in head may be thought to be a underlying mechanism. Although its not described commonly in literature still its common in some people.
Best preventive measure is to change the position of sexual activity, one has to avoid kneeling position or any position which result in increased blood supply to head.
Reduction of sexual activity for some time will also help.
Management of pain with medicines like B-blockers as Propranolol will help. Only 10-20 mg doses will help.
Other analgesics like common NSAID drugs Aspirin, Indomethacin will help.
flupitrine is also useful in such type of headache.
If headache is persistent get you MR scan done to rule out any anatomical abnormality.
