Shadow in baby's lung during pregnancy. What could this be?

I am 25 weeks pregnant and in a current ultrasound they found a shadow in the baby s lung ... what could this shadow potentially be? No one will tell us anything and I d like to know what all I could be looking at .. right now it s more stress having no idea how normal or dangerous this can be .. please help our appt with the specialist isn t for a week not sure i can wait that long knowing nothing ..thanks alicia

A shadow in the baby's lung could be an infection or an abnormal calcificaton. It is not necessarily related to a pathology. Further scans can only help in elaborating the type of patch.
