Severe Throat Pain, Swollen Lymph Nodes On Neck, Stuffy Green Mucus, Blocked Ear. Had Oral Sex Multiple Times. What Could Be Wrong?

Hello, i am an 18 year old girl who has always been good. I got my first boyfriend this year and he forced me to have oral sex with him multiple times. I dont know if this is relevant to the symptoms i am currently experiencing. My throat hurts a lot. For a few weeks it has been mildly sore often on alternating sides. Okay but a few weeks before i had severe tonsillitis did not complete my antibiotics. Now i have swollen lymph nodes on my neck and a stuffy nose with green mucus and a blocked ear. What could be wrong with me? Please help, both my parents are doctors and i wouldn t want them to find out about the oral sex. . .

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different causes for sore throat such as sinusitis and post nasal drip, viral or bacterial infections, severe GERD, trauma.

If you did not complete the course of antibiotics, it is possible that the initial infection did not completely resolve.
Throat infections can be associated with enlarged node and other cough and cold symptoms such as nasal congestion and blocked ear.

Treatment may involve the use of antibiotics (if it is thought to be bacterial though it is usually viral), a decongestant (would help your nose and ear) and antihistamine. The decongestant and antihistamine should be available over the counter.

Though peer pressure can be great and feel difficult to manage, you should not let any force you to do anything that you are not comfortable with. It can sometimes help to practice saying no on your own or reminding yourself that you must do what is right for you first.

I hope this helps
