Severe Throat Infection. Hole In The Ear. Surgery Needed. What To Do?
hi my mother is a severe throat infection for some time now doctor says there is a hole in her ear that needs to be operated now she has pus in her throat doctor says her food pipe in the throat has become thin as she has not eaten. they say she will need some kind of operation for that. she is terrified what should we do
I read your query regarding severe throat infection of your mother, unfortunately she is also having hole in her ear also. Her ear problem of perforation in ear drum needs operative intervention, but at the same time she is also having throat disease as thining of food pipe.
Here I would like to tell you that her throat problem has to be treated first than after reconstructive ear surgery. Because if throat is not treated first than there are chances of infection to reach the ear by eustachian tube.
I think above explanation answers your query.
Regards.
