Severe Stomach Ache, Fever, Not Passed Bowel. Is It E-coli?

hi my son has severe stomach pain a fever of 102 and has not had a bowel movement i took him to the doctors yesterday and p.a said that he has strep throat she didnt do a test and my sons hasnt even been complaining about his throat hurting she ordered him to take amoxicillin . we also just got a new rabbit and i was wondering if she could be wrong and he might have e coli or something should i take him to the hosiptal to get checked.

Thanks for posting your query.
Your son is most likely suffering from acute bacterial gastroenteritis.
Presence of abdominal pain with fever suggest the diagnosis.
You should consult with pediatric physician and should go for thorough examination.
Throat involvement appears to be least.
You should also go for ultrasound imaging to rule out appendicitis.
Your son should take complete antibiotic course along with antispasmodics for getting relief.
