Severe Shoulder Pain. Applying Heat And Muscle Relaxers. Difference In Bone Density Noted In The X-ray. Please Explain?

i have severe shoulder pain. I am 46 years old. It has hurt for about a week and over the past two days it has become realllly painful. I am applying heat and have muscle relaxers. I went to the dr and they did an xray . they just called to refer me to an orthopedic dr because of a boney density spotted on the xray. what does that mean??

it may be a case of an etra cervical rib which is causing nerve compression resulting into shoulder pain and may lead thoracic outlet syndrome. its better to consult an orthopedics as soon s possible and to not to apply heat or compression.
