Severe Pain In The Stomach, Loss Of Appetite. Cause?
Hello. On saturday i had severe stabbing pains in the right side of my stomach i was then sick twice and the pains were still there. On sunday my stomach was still really sore and had no appetite i woke up in the early hours of this morning with the stabbing pains in my side i was sick again twice my stomach is reallt sensitive to touch today and can hardly move. I can also here popping and fizzing noises in my lower stomach Do you know what could be causing this?

The right sided stomach pain can be due to three most common reasons.
First one the acid peptic disease which is due to excessive acid secretion and resolves with the use of antacids.
Second and the most common one is cholecystitis which is the inflammation of the gall bladder which may or may not be due to stone formation.
The third one is the liver disease which is most commonly due to hepatitis of any type.
All these conditions can be ruled out by an ultrasonography of the abdomen and if nothing detected then it is acid peptic disease.
you can use domeperidone or spasmodin for pain and antacids for digestive problems

Stomach pain that too on right side? Loss of appetite, one more problem.
Note down that what you ate, previous night .
Fried food , highly oily food, spiced food, alcohol, smoking , anxiety all these are predisposing factors of stomach pain, so please take notice of these points and probably , you will find out the cause.
If still not satisfied due to these reason , please consult a physician and get down the blood examination and ultrasound of whole abdomen. These investigations will clear all picture.
Till exact cause of disease not found please take a bland diet. Have a healthy life. Dr. HET.

Blood tests like amylase and lipase, liver and kidney function, urine & stool -test are routine
You have not said the age, gender, habits or co-morbidity...
An ECG is routine
If no clues, you will need endoscopy
You should see a Gastro-enterologist...
