Severe Pain In The Eye. What Is It?

Every now and then I have this intense pain in the top of my right eye. It feels like there is something in my eye but nothing is there. I can't close it, move it, touch it, nothing, without it causing the pain to become more intense. This has only happened to me a few times (maybe once a year) but the pain is so bad, I'd rather have my eye removed. It feels like something is poking it. I had a bad episode this morning. I woke up around 4:30am and as soon as I opened my eye, I gripped the bed in pain. It makes me cry and want to punch something. Any advice as to what it could be?

Hi,It is very difficult to diagnose your problem without knowing following,
1-Age & sex of patient.
2-Associated problems like vomiting,headache,etc.
3-any other problems in eyes like redness, watering, discharge etc.
At this time I can only say that you may be suffering from either of the following
diseases,
Glaucoma,Iritis,Migrain,Herpes&May be some space occupying leision.......
With out knowing these factors I can't suggest any treatment And investigations.
This is all What I could comment .
