Severe Pain In The Ear. Infection Being Treated. Worried About The Recurrence

From time to time over the past few weeks, my right outer ear has had strong pains coming and going. I believe it is called the concha, but it is not inside the ear, it is the cartiledge. I had a doctor look at me ears & my left one is infected & being treated, but I am worried about these hard pains in my right, outer ear.

Hi,

You must be having a condition called perichondritis of the ear where your cartilage has been infected. Infection to cartilage causes lot of pain. The treatment will take a while; you need to take complete treatment as suggested by the doctor to get rid of that infection. Once the cartilage heals the pain will go away; after completely healing there is less chance of recurrence.
