Severe Pain In Shoulder Area Towards Back Side. Took Motrin And Hot Bath. What Is The Cure?

I am a 49 year old male. I have this pain in my shoulder area toward my back side that feels like I have been hit with a hammer. I now can not feel anything on this area of skin. I haven t done anything to cause this no lifting or anything. I have taken a hot bath, massage, Motrin and heating pad nothing relives the pain it is bringing tears to my eyes. and I cant feel anything on this area touch my skin but the pain is bringing tears to my eyes what is going on with me?

Dear Friend,
Since how long ur your having this pain? Do you have a occasional pain in the neck? Does the pain intensity varies with neck movement. In that case the problem might be in the cervical region than at Shoulder.
Apply ice at nape of neck and also around the shoulder where the pain is. Still if its not getting relieved then you need to consult a Neurologist.
