Severe Pain After Ovarian Cyst Rupture, Swollen Lower Abdomen. Taking Advil, Tylenol. Anything To Worry?

I had an ovarian cyst rupture last saturday. I woke up at 4am in the most excruciating pain, cold sweats, shaking and could not move. I went immediately to the hospital as I had never experienced such excruciating pain. I stayed in the hospital most of the day with pain management then spent the next two days home on heavy pain meds. The remainder of this week I have been able to go to work with manageable discomfort using advil and tylenol. Today the pain is intensifying, advil and tylenol are not helping and I am quite uncomfortable. My lower abdomen also seems swollen. Should I be concerned?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Usually the ovarian cyst is sterile and do't develops any infection.
Only pain, so as you are already taking (ibuprofen + paracetamol )for pain management so please keep it up.
As again you are feeling pain so confirm there was only one cyst or multiple cyst.
Lower abdomen had swelling ,so this is the cause of concern .
Consult a Gynaecologist and get his opinion after one more ultrasound for any other cyst.
Good luck.
