Severe Itching On Mons Pubis, Flaky Skin. Tested Clear For Infections. Prescribed Clotrimazole Cream, Not Helping

Hello. Over the past 4 months I have had some pretty severe itching on my mons pubis right where my labia majora begin, it goes about an inch down each side. I have only been in one sexual relationship it started 8 years ago, and is current.I just went to the doctor on October 1st, and tested clear for any infections. However when I pointed out the itching the doctor prescribed me clotrimazole cream, which I feel did nothing. I have been rinsing my laundry twice, as I know the detergent can cause problems, I also quit shaving, and use only water on the area. But the itchiness and flaky skin still persists.

Hi,
Many a time local use of anti-fungal cream is not enough.
Go for one course of oral anti-fungal medicine like Flucanozole 150 mg once in a week for 4 weeks.
Keep local hygiene proper.
Ok and take care.
