Severe Itching In Upper Thigh During Shower Causing Big Bruises. On Vitamin D Rx Strenth. Guide
I am a 48 year old woman dealing with some stress. I moved from Michigan to Nebraska About 16 Months ago. On two different occasions while in the shower my upper thigh became very itchy. I scratched itch with no relief. Both occasions caused a enormous bruise. I take vitimin D rx strenth due to it being very low. I m on my 3rd round of taking it for period of 12 weeks.

Thanks for the query,
you might have developed urticaria.
To be specific you have aquagenic urticaria.
It is an allergic condition.
Anything including food, cloth, change in climate, pollens etc can cause urticaria.
You are developing it with water.
Treatment can be with oral anti histamines.
Steroids like prednisolone are also helpful but cannot be used for long.
Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis.
