hello! i am 29 yr old female suffering from severe hairloss specially at the crown of my head.. I have a healthy diet..no one in my family is bald ..i take nutritional supplements also to support hair growth..whenever i use minoxidil spray 2% i feel severe itching n irritation n sensitivity on this area...what should i do? should i continue with that spray...if not what can i do to increase my hair density in this area? and ive also heard that minoxidil will help as long as you use it if you discontinue the use the hair will also shed? what should i do?
Hello, Hair loss over the crown is a patterned hair loss seen in female pattern baldness. Minoxidil 2% is a US FDA approved medication for it but you need to take it for a long time as we cannot cure the genetic problem but can halt the process. Some get allergy to the medium(base) in which minoxiil is present causing itching. I will recommend you to try minoxidil 2 % gel or foam instead of solution. Hope this helped Take care
