Severe Gas Problem, Loss Of Appetite, Severe Stomach Pain, Undigested Food. Treatment?

greeting doctors.. my wife is having acute gas problem since april 12. we have visited my doctors in XXXXX. But her problem in aggravating. When gas problem increases, it start with loss of appetite followed by severe pain in stomach . Whatever she consumes, it comes out undigested in stool . Right now she is in XXXX (@ her parent s place). Kindly suggest me what to do

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, I would like to advise that she should be clinically examined and investigated.
Following investigations may be helpful :-
1. Stool examination.
2. Liver Function Test ( LFT ).
3. Serum amylase and lipase.

I would advise that she should take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg.
A probiotic along with digestive enzyme preparation containing pepsin and fungal diastase after meals will have added benefits.
Further medical management can be planned after knowing the reports of the above mentioned Investigations.
