Severe Gas, Bloating And Nausea After Colonoscopy. Need Help

My mother is 76 and usually very healthy and active. She had a routine colonoscopy about 8 months ago and it was fine, but ever since then she has been having severe gas, bloating and nausea after eating. Not after every meal and no particular foods, but it happens often enough to really effect her quality of life. Any ideas?

Gastroenterologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.Ratnakar Kini and I am pleased to assist you.

She needs to undergo a upper GI endoscopy to find the cause.
If blood glucose has not been tested, it should be tested as gastroparesis commonly caused by diabetes can cause symptoms like bloating and nausea.

I hope that answers your question.
Regards,
Dr.Ratnakar Kini
