Hello

Thanks for writing to H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding popping in your ear along with blockade and pain. Though you are having sinusitis along with allergy as evident by the observation of your ENT doctor and your physician. Your all doctors had noticed enlarge turbinates and no doubt these hypertrophied turbinates worsen the allergic phenomenon and are responsible for recurrent blockage of Eustachian tube (tubular connection between ear and throat) which in turn giving you severe earache and blockade in ear.

This may be solved by -

(a) Turbinate reduction by laser or coblation.

(b) Grommet insertion on ear drum.

You may discuss the above modalities with your treating ENT doctor and thus you will get rid off your problem.

Regards.
