Severe ear pain and headache caused by air travel.Precautions while traveling?

Hello doctor Whenever I travel by flight I get ear pain,even though I chew the chewing gum it will not go. After landing also I will have ear pain for 2 to 3 days. And I have headache problem which I can t explain properly, I can say it is cluster headache Bcoz I get pain around right eye,right nasal passage,and right cheek. So what precautions I have to take while travelling in flight so that I will not get ear pain.

both condition can coexist together. its something, already if you have little inflammation of ear and throat(what you have in cluster headache), air travel worsens it. precautions what you should take- 1. keep eating, specially during take off and landing, which you are already doing. 2. don't sleep in flights. 3. don't push off your chair to back. 4. facilitate yawning. 5. put cotton plugs in ears.
