Hi S. Rana,
Thank you for your query,
Diabetes Mellitus is a disorder due to decreased production of insulin and or due to decreased sensitivity of insulin receptors for insuli as a result blood glucose will not get controlled and raised.
It is increasing in incidence because of sedentary life, less physical activity, stress and it is a disease of life style and polygenic in penetrance means many genes will effect its occurence.
Without a family history also one may get Diabetes because of the above reasons.
You have to continue insulin according to doctor advise along with diabetic diet, physical activity and regular exercises.
Patient education is important to control the diabets, to detect complications early with life style modification to fight against the diabetes.
Hope I have answered your query.
