Severe Cramps, Vomiting, Diarrhea And Dizziness During Menstruation. Due To Ovarian Cyst?

I am 19 years old and my period is the worst. I have terrible cramps, vomiting, diarrhea , dizziness , tiredness all 2 weeks constantly before my period. Then my period comes and I still have the symptoms just for one week now. What s wrong with me? I was told I have a cist on my right ovary and that s what hurts me the most when I have my period.

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on health care magic.
You symptoms suggests you are suffering from premenstrual syndrome.
Cyst in the ovary at your age is most likely follicular cyst.
Normally it resolves on its own and no treatment is necessary. Just observer and get a follow up scan after 2 months
If cyst persists and increases in size then take oral contraceptive pills for 3 months.
This will treat your premenstrual symptom as well.
Hope this helps.
regards,
Dr Nilofer
