Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
If the pain is severe and is not responding to the conservative treatment then surgical decompression and discectomy should be considered. You need to consult a spine surgeon for the same.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.

Hello
Thanks for posting your query.
You are suffering from Disc protrusion . As you are already doing physiotherapy and taking epidural injection and you are not responding with these measures, I suggest you to consult a spine specialist for surgical option (discectomy). This will helps to decompress the spine and relieve pressure over nerve roots.
Hope this will help you
Regards.

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

You need Neurological consultation - Nerve Conduction Studies and Electromyography to assess the extent of nerve irritation, damage... with a view for possible surgery. It is a mechanical problem and will ultimately need mechanical relief...
You have not stated your personal habits, family history or co-morbidities, even age, gender...which could have an influence on the diagnosis and outcome...
Rest to the part (Splinting if necessary & avoiding weight bearing) is important
Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs like ibuprofen reduce pain & inflammation / Gabapentin and/or antidepressants are helpful - they raise the pain threshold, irrespective of the cause

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
