Severe Butt Pain, Unable To Sit. No Visible Rashes, Boils. Recovering From Bladder Infection. Cure?

My aunt is having severe butt pain and is unable to even sit on her butt. There are no visible rashes, boils, redness, etc. She just complains of severe butt pain and wants to take off her pants and have nothing touching her behind. Trying to determine if she has a form of neuropathy or what it could be. She has been complaining of this for a couple of months. She is recovering from bladder infection. Also, she sits in her recliner chair -- even sleeps in her chair. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for placing your query here.
I can appreciate your concerns.
It seems she has got Coccydynia ,a type of lower back pain felt around the last bone at the base of the spine (known as the coccyx or tailbone).
The cause may be related to local trauma, age related wear & tear or sometimes unexplained.
Apart from taking painkillers & If this fails, steroid injections can be recommended.
There are a number of things you can do yourself to help with the pain, including using specially designed cushions to support the coccyx.
Spinal manipulation techniques such as physiotherapy, osteopathy and chiropractic can also provide relief from pain.
Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
Wish her good health.
