Hello, Thanks for coming to HCM. Uninary tract infection can cause red colored urine. You need to take antibiotics which might require doctor s prescription based on your location. You can take Uristat which is available over the counter (please note, it turns urine color to orange which is normal). It can treat symptoms but does not cure infection and you will still need antibiotics. Consult pharmacist if you have kidney problem or you are allergic to phenazopyridine. You should take plenty of fluids, unsweetened cranberry juice, pineapple, and vitamin C. Please ensure you take full course of antibiotics even if symptoms disappear. Wish you quick recovery.
