Semen Analysis Done. Sperm Has A -3 Grade. Does This Need Any Treatment?

Hi Dr. s I got my semen analysis a few days ago, rest all is normal excelt on thing i.e. my sperm has a -3 grade which is fast but undirected movement. Does this need any treatment? If so what sort of treatment should I get? Is this a cause for not getting my wife pregnant? I am married since last 4 years and my wife had 3 miscarriages and the last one was 1 and half year ago.

Thanks for your query.
Your semen analysis revealed motility of the sperms to be grade 3 .Normally it is grade one sperms which move in a straight direction are capable of fertilising female eggs to result into pregnancy.The minimum percentage of grade one sperms accepted by WHO standards is 12-15% to result into conception .

Truly speaking there are no medications that can increase the percentage of grade one sperms.However Following measure will help to improve the motility of sperms to some extent.

1) Practice regular exercise for 45 minutes followed by meditation for 1/2 an hour in the morning.
2) Take high protein diet rich in vegetables and fruits and Vitamin A,C,D,E.and Zinc
3)Take anti oxidants like Almonds 5-6 everyday..
