Scabbed freckles and bad itch through out body. What can it be?

Hi, a friend of mine has shown me his back because it was itching. He s a workman and has recently had his back in the sun which is when it started itching. He is dark haired but with freckly skin especially on his back. Alot of the freckles have scabbed over. Please can you tell me what this could be? Thankyou. Jacqueline Newman

Hi Jacqueline,
It seem that your has developed sun burn and excessive tanning after sun exposure. Do not apply any home remedies which can aggravate the situation. You can apply cortisone cream and calamine lotion over affected area.
Use a good quality medicated sunscreen 3 times a day. Protection from direct sunlight is must . Do not apply any cometics which are containing fragrance in it as it can also cause pigmentation on exposure to sun light.
