Hi
Thanks for posting
As the fracture unites the pain and swelling goes away and patient usually walk with/without support by 6 month time,it varies from patient to patient. So, I need to see your latest x-ray that you may post at http://bit.ly/drmchugh for final word.
Please share does your pain is decreasing by passing time?
Usually the Nail used for fixation are not removed until and unless complication happens or on patients demand that too after 2 year once the fracture is consolidated.
Hope this helps
Take care
