Right Arm And Shoulder Injury, Swelling, Pain, Bruises On Shoulders And Elbow. Medical Attention Required?

I fell out of a moving truck onto my right arm and shoulder . Immediate pain and swelling occurred. This occurred in December. I am able to move my arm now but experience pain when lying down and reaching behind my back or up high. I had several bruises on my shoulder and elbow that took weeks to heal. My elbow is also sensitive, if it is touched in a certain spot I have pain through my arm to mt shoulder blade with throbbing. Wondering if it will heal with time or is medical assistance needed?

Hello, thanks for using HCM.
Trauma to a joint is a dreaded incidence because it predisposes to short term as well as long term complications such as infections, osteoarthritis, neural or vascular damage etc. It is likely that a ligament or even bone got injured since the trauma was followed by immediate pain, swelling and it took quite sometime for you to be able to move the arm.
The sensitivity of elbow does not appear to be normal as it sound as though there is an underlying neural irritation somewhere. So, it is preferable you see a Doctor or an orthopedic surgeon for a detail examination to rule out any complication or to re-assure you if there is non.
Best regards and hope this helps.
