Rib Pain On Lower And Inner Side, Aggravates On Sitting Or Lying On That Side. Worrisome?

The past few months I have been noticing pain in my ribs. Lower, inner and on the right side. They are tender to the touch and when i press on them, it seems hard. Obviously, the pain is worse the longer I sit (in a chair, car, on the couch) or lay on that side (hard or soft surfaces). I have never had any injuries in that area in my life. I dont have health insurance. Should I be worried?

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

It is probably costochondritis (inflammation of the rib / cartilage)...
Relation to movement and posture negate relation to heart and lung...

The limited information provided is not sufficient enough to arrive at an appropriate conclusion and further suggestion... / You have not stated your personal habits, family history, or co-morbidities, even age or gender...which could influence the diagnosis and outcome...

The wise option is to get yourself examined / can’t you go to ER?

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
