Removed Large Colon. Trapped Wind Causing Discomfort

hi my husband has under went an operation for his ulceractive colits his large colon was removed it has now been 10 days or so and he gets sudden trapped wind.he has tried walking around gentle excersice and rubbing of the back etc but nothing seems to work he has a stoma bag ofcourse which is working really well but his trapped wind is bothering him the most please advise. thannk you hanna

both stool & flatus will pass through the opening of stoma.
if passage of stool is well then you need not to worry.
continue the gentle exercise.
give plenty of water.
take care.
