It is too early for a urine pregnancy test to detect pregnancy at this stage. If you are sexually active without any contraception, then pregnancy is the first thing to be excluded. The inter-menstrual spotting you have could be due to ovulation; if it persists, you should suspect implantation bleed, hormonal aberration or a threatened abortion. You would only know now by a blood test for pregnancy and a trans-vaginal sonogram and have a visit to your doctor with the results for an evaluation and advice. Good luck.
