Redness in the ear of toddler after poking q tip, got penicillin shot, later bleeding. Is it fine?
My toddler grabbed a qtip and poked it in his ear this a.m. And was screaming took him in they said ear drum looked fine but really red maybe infected. I didn t think so since he just injured it today i am sure it is from the qtip but they gave him a penicillin shot and we went home. Now tonight he is sleeping and I noticed his ear is bleeding is it fine since they checked earlier or can damage come later after an injury ...
WELCOME TO HCM. THE Q TIP HAS PROBABLY CAUSED DAMAGE TO EAR CANAL. OTHERWISE THE INFECTION UR TALKED ABOUT IN UR SON'S EAR HAS CAUSED RUPTURING OF EAR DRUM LEADING TO BLEEDING.U NEED TO TAKE UR CHILD TO AN ENT SPECIALIST FOR CLINICAL EXAMINATION.
