Redness in neck, fades and leaves a pale area, weight gain, tired. Thyroid?

I keep getting this redness in my neck where my Thyroid is located, then it fades and leaves a pale area around the area. I have gained some weight over the last few years and at times have been so tiered that its difficult to get out of bed. I have had blood work and an ultrasound on my Thyroid but everything is normal. i'm concerned since Thyroid issues run in my family.
