Redness in anal area that bleeds. Why does it burn? Normal for hemorrhoids?

I have redness in the anal area & it bleeds when I wipe. When I shower I get a burning pain. I went to an urgent care center a year ago. The Dr. Gave me a hemroid treatment that you pump in. I continue to have the same problem. I did go back three month from the first visit & prescribed the same medication . It that. Normal for hemroids?

The symptoms you describe are entirely normal for internal hemmoroida. Burning redness and pain can also be a sign of a yeast infection affecting the anal area. The entire area would be involved and the redness would be generalized and not just a specific point. If the hemorrhoids are internal or external and not responding to medication then you can consider surgery. Any competant general surgeon should be able to handle the problem or you can go to a G.I. surgeon. If the medication helped then you may need to stay on it. chronically. Medication can often control the symptoms but not cure the underlying hemorrhoid. It is not dangerous to avoid surgery. Only you can decide if the symptoms are bad enough to consider that option. I hope you feel better soon. Thank you for your confidence.
