Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

The site after injury is red, swollen and painful suggests there is inflamation. Is there any restriction of movement and whether the swelling apper just after injury or after little longer period. If just after injury there may be chances of fracture or muscular injury. Put only warm compression and apply tight bandage.Restrict movement. You can take anti inflammatory drug (NSAID) like aceclofenac with serratiopeptidase to reduce pain and swelling. Consult your doctor for examination and management.
Hope I answered your question. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.
From the description, it seems that you have developed a soft tissue hematoma ( blood clot ) at the site of injury.

Generally, this resolves spontaneously within 3 weeks (maximum).

But in case if you are a Diabetic person or if the size of the swelling is increasing (despite hot fomentation) with associated fever and severe pain, then there is likelihood of infection.

Consult your treating doctor in such a case.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Big hard lump seems to be due to soft tissue haematoma formation(collection of blood) which might get organised.
Hot fomatation will be heplful to dissolve the organised haematoma. Generally it takes few days to week to dissolve.
If it increases in size or warm to touch , consult your doctor to rule out any infection.
Hope this will helps you. Feel free to ask me if you have any further queries.
Wish you good health. Take care.

Good evening
Foreign body was retained in soft tissue of your leg after injury.
There is now inflammation around the foreign body.
You need to see doctor, meanwhile start on antibiotics and analgesics.
