Reddish, purple prominent large vein above knee cap during pregnancy. Is it varicose vein?

a large vein on the front portion of my thigh suddenly looks more prominent and seems to be ending at a reddish, purple, varicose vein about an inch above my knee cap. i am now 29 weeks pregnant and also have a 2 year old son that i occasionally have to lift. i noticed this change in my thigh vein and the bruising (not painful) about 4 weeks ago.

Hi, welcome to HCM
i think you are suffering from segmental (part of leg) varicose vein. Pregnacy can be causetive factor in your case.
Start wearing varcose vein stocking till you consult a board certified specialist in varicose vein treatment.
It is completely curable, so no need to worry.
Thanking you.
