Red Under Eyes And Eyelids, Sore, Itchy. Started After Washing Face With Organic Soap, Applied Brevoxyl Cream. Advice?

hello my name is roisin and im worried about my eyes, yesterday morning they went really red under my eyes and eyelids,also very sore itchy and small little red bumps. i used an organic soap to wash my face and then applied brevoxyl acne cream and felt it burning my face which never happens, the next morning i woke up with this rash under my eyes do you think that is the problem? or what could it be? my eyes are terribly itchy and sore.

hello rosin,
thank you for the querry. the rash that you are describing is localised around eyes. the triggering factor could have been anything that you must have applied locally, including eye make up or any eye cream. or it can be something that you must have eaten eg. seafood, eggs or anything new. the organic soap is less likely to be the causative agent because in that case larger area of the face would have been involved.
Whatevers the cause of this reaction, you worsened it by putting brevoxyl cream, which is an irriatant.
Stop using brevoxyl. use mild steroid cream twice a day, oral antiallergic tablets for 5 days. dont put any cosmetic around eyes for few days, and wash with plain water only. this should help.
