Red Spots On Roof Of Mouth, Spit Fly, Ulcer On Uvula, Dry Throat. Suggestion?

My 6 year son said he spit out what look like a fly during brushing. It went down the drain so I was unable to verify. I check his mouth and he has small red spots on the back on the roof of his mouth in the back. He also has a small ulcer looking bump beside the uvula . He has started saying his throat feels dry. Any advise would be wonderful and should I make an appointment with a dentist or md?
