Red Spots On Penis. STD Tests Came Clear. Suffering Ankylosing Spondylitis, Taking Enbrel. What Does This Indicate?

I am 54 years old and two years ago I had unprotected sex with a young lady in her early 30's. Several days afterward I developed 3 smooth, red spots on the glans penis. For several months afterward I made several visits to my GP, my urologist, and dermatologist and no one seemed to concerned. They prescribed several different creams that did not make the situation better. I had several tests for STD's including herpes and all came back negative. I do suffer from ankylosing spondilitus and use Enbrel. I hope you can tell me why these spots persist.

Hi and thanks for the query,
I do think if all these arose immediately only after having unprotected sex with the lady, there is a high chance that this should be a sexually transmitted infection. from your description, it is most probable that this should be viral. A physical examination however gives a very easy diagnosis. I suggest you consult your doctor. It might be useful to screen for common infection like HIV, Chlamydia and Syphillis. It is advisable to practice protected sex now and your partner if possible should get a clinical review too. Kind regards
