Red Spot Behind Tongue, Not Sore, Spreading To Different Areas. Causes And Treatment?

My daughter has a red spot underneath her tongue in the back area. She went to see the dentist but he isn t sure what it is so he is referring her to an oral surgeon. It is not sore unless she brushes her tongue with her toothbrush then she feels it. She notice it on the left back side it went away now it is on the right back lower side. What could it be?

Hello
I would be pleased to answer your question

It can be a mucocele , papillitis , granuloma .
She will need to see the oral surgeon to confirm the diagnosis . In the mean time she should avoid a trauma in the area . she can use a soft tooth brush and increase her multivitamin and B complex intake.

Thanks and take care
