Red Sore Blisters In Mouth And On Labia Minora Of Vagina. Could Herpes Virus Cause This?
I am a 19 y/o female. I have about 6 little white, what looks like blisters on the inside of my bottom lip. They are sore and the area surrounding them is red. I also woke up two mornings ago with a canker sore in the right corner of my mouth. This sounds like the typical herpes virus being inflamed to me, but you can never be too sure. Also, yesterday I was feeling some pain in my vaginal area. So I examined it and my labia minora on the right side has some redness and many like three of these same tiny white pin point blisters. They are very small, but they are quite sore. Yesterday they burned when I urinated, but today they are just sore when I walk or touch them. N o burning anymore. I have have the same partner for three years, and we do have unprotected sex. He has no lesions on him anywhere what so ever. They arent open sores, just preset on the edge of my labia. Is this just a lovely inflammation of the herpes virus and it should just begin to disappear within the next week or so? If so, is there anything you would suggest I do to relieve some of the symptoms? I have a crazy week ahead with finals coming up so if my symptoms do worsen I will make an appt with a gyno.

From the lesions restricted to one side, it seems to be herpes. Usually the symptoms of herpes resolve within 2 weeks by itself. To relieve the symptoms, docosonal, a safe and effective topical ointment can be used. antiviral medicines like acyclovir speed up the healing. Avoid touching the infected site, wash hands regularly and avoid contact with others to prevent the transmission.
