Red Rash On Buttocks, Swollen Inguinal Lymph Nodes, Tiredness. What Could It Be?
So I have a rash with a bunch of red bumps in a circle with a diameter of about 3 inches on the upper right part of my buttock right, a little bit below where it meets my back. About a day after the rash formed my right inguinal lymph nodes (or whatever they are called) in the crease of my groin have swelled drastically, large enough to where it is uncomfortable sometimes when I walk. I've been real pretty tired relatively since this all started.
I really just want to know what it could possibly be.
From the information you have provided, you most likely have dermatomycosis which is a skin infection caused by fungi. The treatment is most often a locally applied antifungal cream like miconazole. The swollen lymph nodes are a local reaction as the immune system strives to mount an immune reaction against this.
Hope this helps. Wish you a speedy recovery. Dr. Ditah, MD
