Red line from the palm to arm with tingling in hand. Had opened a small bump under the palm. What is the cause?

Hello! My 11yr old daughter had a small bump under the skin on her right palm that we thought was a splinter that was deep. I started to open it up & had to stop because of the intense pain it was causing her. Now we see a red line from the site up her arm about 6inches & she s complaining of tingling in her hand & arm...

It seems that your daughter may be having phlebitis.

It is an inflammation of superficial vein underneath skin.

Cause might be minor trauma.

Oral antibiotics and antiinflammatory drugs may be given.

Thrombophob oint. may be applied.

You take her to consult dermatologist.
