Red, Itchy, Stiff, Swollen Knuckle. Under Treatment For Incision In Leg. Treatment?

My knuckle has suddenly (as of this morning) become red, itchy, burning, swollen, stiff. I also have a red spot on the palm of that same hand with similar symptoms. I am currently being treated with a 2nd round of anitbiotics for an infection in an incision in my leg. What can I do to help the knuckle? I really want to try to do something on my own vs running to the doctor within a few hours of symptoms, however it is quite bothersome.

hi i had gone through your query and understand your concerns. i would come up with two most possibilities to fit your condition .these include

1.first possibility is,ANGIONEUROTIC OEDEMA

Possible causes
Hereditary is an important predisposing factor
The exciting factors are
-psychogenic stress and allergic offenders.

2.second possibility is,,GOUTY ARTHRITIS, confirm with blood test for SERUM URIC ACID LEVELS

I hope this is helpful for you, thank you
