Recurring Boils On Buttocks And Groin. Taken Antibiotics. Foul Smell, Pain

My husband has a few reoccurring boils on the inner part of his buttocks and one near his groin area. All the doctors and dermatologists have just been prescribing antibiotics that clearly are not helping. The boil that is near his testicles is more like an open wound about 1 and a 1/2 inches long and about a half an inch wide. It smells very bad and causes a lot of pain. He has been cleaning with prescribed cleansers and none of the home remedies have worked either. PLEASE HELP!!

Hallo madam,
As you mention your husband having reccurent boils on inner part of his buttock and groin i e recurrent staphyloccal infection not responding to antibiotics.

There are many causes of recurrent staph infection,but for your husband diabetis mallitus,any immunocompromise status,any chemotherepy ,or any immunological disorder are the main causes.

So test random an post prandial blood sugar ,test for any immunocompromise illness.

Also perfome culture sensitivity of of base of repture boil and according to that use proper antibiotic.

Daily sterile dressing of wound is also important.

hello lara,
in your husband boils are at pressure regions that why after using antibiotics you are not getting result. First he should avoid long time sitting so that presssure is releived and for application use mupirocin oinment at both places.
