Recurrent Shingles, Pain. Due To Overexercise?

I exercise regularly, I am a Masters swimmer who swims 2000 to 3000 yards 5 to 6 days a week. I am also 61. I came down with my second case of shingles a month ago, but had a minor case since I got the antiviral within 24 hours. Recently, the patch of shingles started to make a comeback, but I never got the lightning bolt pain with it. Could I be overexercising? Is it possible that I'm knocking down my immune system and should rest more until all signs of the shingles go away?
