Hi doctor pls help me.. I am having sinus problem my doctor gave me Quinox 500 Mg , Olfen 50 mg ,& xyzal 5mg for 10 days & Rhinocort & Tabunex nasal spray. Used for 10 days & was ok .On 12th day again I visited him wth same problem ,now he is suggesting me to hav Diprofos ( 1m) injection once in a month for 3 months . Can u pls advice me if I should take this injection or not. Thanks, Reena.

I am so sorry to hear about this sinus problem. If the initial treatment has failed, then doing more detailed investigations to understand what the reasons for the infection and treatment failure are should be undertaken. In this light, doing a culture and some images like CT scan would be helpful. if the germ is identified and the antibiotic that can treat the germ the we would be able to address it fully.
Some sinus problems need surgical management. So investigate properly and get the treatment that you deserve. An ENT specialist is the best person to consult and follow up with.
