Thank you for the query.
Fresh blood on the surface of the stool sound to be unrelated to your upper abdominal pain
gives strong pain while passing the stool so it is also less probable.
Most likely you are suffering from hemorrhoids. This condition gives fresh, bright red blood on the surface of the stool and on the toilet paper. Ocasionally a lump in the anus can be present. The pain is not always present.
You are 34 which is too young age for colon cancer. Inflammatory bowels disease can give blood in the stool and abdominal pain, however also weakness, abdominal cramps, bloated abdomen, diarrheas should be present.
Upper middle abdominal pain is most likely caused by stomach issue including peptic ulcer
, stomach inflammation
or Helicobacter Pylori infection
So it may occur that after the colonoscopy, gastroscopy will be necessary.
Hope this will help.
