Recovering From Dengue Fever. Rashes On The Body. Low Platelet Count. Astrax Prescribed. Will These Symptoms Subside Of Its Own?

I have recently recovered from dengue fever .after being hospitalized for nearly our days I was discharged last wednesday. From thursday I have developed rashes on my body. There isno fever and platelet count taken on Thursday was2.58 lacs. I had shown it to my doctor who treated this, howvere he is also not sure what this should be & have told me to take astrax10 mg. Yesterday showed this to a skin specialist who said this is post dengue rashes& will subside in due course & has prescribed medicines to get relief from itching. However the rashes have not subsided even little bit

Hi,
Welcome to HCM
You have suffered dengue fever ,it is good that you have recovered well.
In case of Dengue we are always worried about platelet count but as you have done count it is 2.58 lac.
As Dermatologist has seen rest assured this is nothing serious and as he told could be Post voral rash and will go away and it to much itching is there can take prescribed medicines(Antihistaminics).
How ever there is one more possibility the drugs which you have taken for dengue may be antibiotics or Analgesic may cause drug allergy?
By this time you get this answer I hope your rash must have subsided .
Just take normal diet any vitamins prescribed by your doctor.
Have faith in your treating Physician ,you will improve in few days .
Good Luck.

Hallo,
This is absolutely post dengue rashes and will subside in due course. Nothing to worry about it.
Eventhough , you can apply Neem soap for bath and drink neem leaf juice 30 ml daily for 15 days to
get speedy recovery.
